They say all that glitters is not gold and things that look attractive are not always the best. But Friedrich Schiller said it right; appearance rules the world!

We present to you our top 10 Sweet Scents from State of the art, Stylish bottles!

1. Marc Jacobs...

As I walked past the Marc Jacobs concessions at Selfridges, I realised this was it! He definitely inspired this list. From Daisy to Lola, the designs of his perfume bottles have always depicted the sweet floral femininity of his fragrances.

2. Lolita Lempicka...

Dreamy, whimsical and at the same time earthy, Lolita Lempicka’s bottle designs are ideal! The First Fragrance leaves me dreaming of being lost in an orchard blissfully and enjoying the solitude and looking at L’s rock shaped bottle, I imagine myself as a beautiful mermaid perched on a sandy rock on a beautiful beach somewhere.

3. Viktor and Rolf... Flower Bomb

This fragrance is very sweet and happens to be a Royaume favourite. The bottle shape complete with detonator finishes off the design. You are sure to leave a trail of explosions everywhere you go while wearing it.

4. Givenchy... Organza

A fragrance that is completely timeless, Organza exudes elegance and captivating femininity, encased in a bottle that is reminiscent of a beautiful Greek goddess.

5. Jean Paul Gaultier...

Think JPG Fragrances and you automatically think alluringly of the sexuality and sensuality of the human form.  So seductive, need I say more?

6. Maison Martin Margiela... Untitled

(Untitled) is befitting of the brand’s astonishing obscurity and no label approach and the bottle also echoes its simplistic signature as does the limited packaging. Maison Martin Margiela’s trademark has always been an ultra discreet label with four little white stitches. Likewise a piece of white cotton thread is hand-tied to the neck of the bottle and has to be cut in order to use the perfume.

7. Kenzo...  Air

Like a breath of fresh air. The simplicity of this bottle design works. It is probably the closest you could possibly get to a ‘slice of air’.

8. John Varvatos... Artisan

The basket like, handicraft look of this bottle says everything about Artisan. It is earthy with orange blossom undertones, vintage and a good balance between sweet and spicy.

9. Diesel... Only The Brave

This clenched fist is definitely only for the brave! A cocktail ‘punch’ of candied lemon with a hint of clove and cinnamon... a scent strong enough to know anyone out! (In a good way of course).

10. Elsa Schiaparelli... Shocking

Not well known as Shocking is a real vintage fragrance from the 30’s. But the bottle design is good enough to make the list. Some would say shocking as in gaudy, however the bottle depicts the supposed oriental hints of this floral fragrance.
